Dr. Patrick Kennedy-Williams, Clinical Psychologist

Patrick works with: Adults, Children, Young People and Their Families

Hello I'm Patrick. I'm an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society. I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Oxford. Whilst my clinical training was broad, over the years I have developed specialties in a few key areas, specifically anxiety, depression and chronic illness.

I have a specific interest in Climate Change Anxiety and how to manage the adverse impacts of this on mental wellbeing so that my clients can support positive solutions for this problem.

I have worked in the NHS since 2010 across a range of community and inpatient mental health teams. Alongside independent practice, I currently work in the NHS with children and young people with mental health difficulties in the context of chronic physical health conditions, often involving a visible difference. I also have experiencing working with young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties, such as ADHD, and those on the autism spectrum.

The depth and breadth of my training allows me to draw on a number of models of CBT, alongside other ‘third wave’ cognitive therapies, and I am flexible in adapting these to the client. I am an active researcher, and I have written extensively for the Mental Elf. You can read these articles here.

I look forward to meeting you.

Megan Woodard, Coaching Psychologist, B.A., MSc, PGCert

Megan coaches : Adult Clients, Creatives and Parents

Hello and welcome! As a coach, I help my clients, not by giving them advice or solutions but by helping them to realise, and uncover the confidence they need to know that they are already dynamic, creative, and have all the tools to live full and satisfying lives. If you are here, you have already taken the first and hardest step; acknowledging that something isn’t quite right in your life. You have looked for a way to change. You may not know what that change is yet. Your brain is probably already jumping into action and telling you all the reasons you can’t make change (it’s trying to protect you from the unknown and the uncomfortable), but you absolutely can. I think the biggest risk isn’t making a change, but what you might miss out on if you don’t.

I work alongside Patrick to help manage Climate Change Anxiety. We are passionate about supporting people so that they can in turn, support the fight against climate change.

I believe individuals and families are creative, resourceful and whole but sometimes fall out of line with their goals, beliefs, and aspirations. We all need a little clarity and a reset sometimes and I love to support these positive changes. Through training and experience, I have developed a dynamic practice and can work with you to get you back on track to achieve your goals. Let’s make a plan and we can get you making the transformations you need to be living your best life.

I am constantly fine tuning my practice- life is about continual development. I have two happy, free-spirited young children, a great partner and a lovely, but lazy dog. I can’t wait to meet you!

Qualifications: I received my M.Sc in Psychology from The University of East London with a focus on childhood social dynamics. I went on to train at the University of Oxford, where I obtained my P.G.
